Disney Princess Auditions- Azula

Final score- 10/100

Comments: Unable to fully commit to a dainty pose. Laugh seems somewhat forced and maniacal. Did not get along with other applicants. Scary.

After expressing to :iconmisskokamon: that I wanted my next project to be girly, she suggested that I take a princess that Disney hadn't gotten to yet, and make them look like a Disney Princess. I was going through Avatar again and thought, Why not Azula?

So I decided to take her and alter her design to fit in with the other princesses. I used the Avatar art book as reference and chose to render her in her coronation costume. I lengthened that a bit and tweaked the colors. I initially wanted to put her in a completely dainty pose, but just couldn't do that to her. Her personality won out.

I was curious, too, to see if I could pull off Disney's rendering style. I made the line art in Illustrator then colored it in Photoshop. I went off of memory, but I feel good about it.

That would be hilarious. I can see the attempted tea party now. She'd probably set the furry woodland animals on fire. And then the judges as well when they rejected her application. Even though she was only trying to get in so she could better infiltrate the Disney Kingdoms in order to retrieve information to plan a possible Fire Nation invasion.

Now that's a show down I'd like to see.

The Fire Nation would have better luck trying to slip Ty Lee through the screening process. She's rather more qualified in the poofy areas of life.
